D.O.G. 101 – Class Orientation

DOG 101 is our Orientation class and is designed to set you and your dog up for success. This class is required before beginning one of our 5-week classes.

During this 90-minute Class Orientation we go over everything you need to select the right training class for your dog and goals (or confirm you registered for the right one), and so much more. We invite you to scroll through our class options to learn more.

Here’s the topics we’ll cover:

Introduction to our spacious, well-appointed training facility.

What to expect from our five-week classes.

Special focus is given to stopping or preventing common behavior problems such as jumping, barking, and more.

How to better manage and handle your dog the first week of class.

Introduction to clicker training and how to get started with it.

How to teach your dog a new skill (Touch) before you come to the first week of class. Spoiler alert, your dog will love it and you’ll find it helpful from day 1!

We’ll help you determine which class is best for your dog and get you ready for your first class together.

Does my dog attend the orientation class? Please leave your dog at home for this class. We’ll give you some valuable tips for how to prepare for the first class with your dog.

Can I bring other family members? Yes, you can bring others. If you must bring your small children, please come prepared with some activities to keep them busy while we talk.
