Obedience 1.0: Good DOG Basics

This is our foundational obedience class for dogs 6 months of age and older. Whether you’re starting fresh with a new dog, transitioning from puppy class, or looking to improve your dog’s manners and responsiveness, this class provides the building blocks for future training success.

Throughout the class, you and your dog will learn the foundational skills of engagement, attention, sit, down, stay, coming when called, loose leash walking, impulse control, and how to start working in distractions. You’ll also learn how to communicate clearly with your dog and build a stronger working relationship through training.

Obedience 2.0: Strengthen Skills

This class builds on the foundation established in Good DOG Basics. We’ll begin increasing the difficulty of behaviors by adding distractions, duration, and distance while helping your dog develop greater focus, reliability, and self-control.

Skills introduced in Obedience 1.0 will be expanded through more advanced loose leash walking, stays, polite greetings, impulse control, and working successfully around increasing distractions. This class helps bridge the gap between knowing a behavior and performing it consistently when it matters most.

Dogs should have completed Good DOG Basics (Obedience 1.0) or possess equivalent foundational skills before enrolling.

Obedience 3.0: Real-World Training for Real-Life Success

DOG Obedience Group - Day Training

This class is designed for dogs that have already developed solid obedience skills and are ready to take their training beyond the classroom. This class focuses on helping dogs successfully apply their training in public environments with the distractions and challenges they encounter in everyday life.

Throughout the course, we will continue building reliability while introducing new locations, environments, people, sounds, and distractions. Teams will work on loose leash walking, recalls, stays, polite public manners, and maintaining focus in increasingly challenging settings.

This class is ideal for owners who want a dog they can confidently take out into the community. It also serves as excellent preparation for the AKC Community Canine (CGCA) program and other advanced training opportunities.
